Business Profile - Languages

French - as a Mother tongue

  • French is a rich and nuanced language I am glad to have had as a mother tongue. I am convinced that it must be a difficult foreign language to master, but as it still opens the doors to a large community in the world, it is one of the languages to be counted with. As for every languages, it evolves and changes with time, but remain.

English - as a First professional language

  •  When I first understood why English was so important to master, I began to understand how interesting and useful it could be. The way it is taught in France does not always put the How in the first place and does not give the right level of understanding as how useful it can be.
  • I have those many many years, lifted up my standard of English to a level where I can read, write and speak it fluently, with a trace of Frenchiness in it still, but with ease and enjoyment.
  • I took the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) in 2008, and got a score of 643 out of 677, and the TOEIC (Test of English for International Commerce), in 2016, and got a score of 970 out of 990 making it among the top 5% (TOEFL) and top 3% (TOEIC) of those who took the tests, and allowing me to call myself "proficient" in english.

Danish - as a Second professional language

  •  When I arrived, the 1st time, in Denmark, I was lucky enough to start almost right away Danish evening lessons and find a teacher who made me understand that so difficult, yet challenging, the language Danish was not. I have since learned to enjoy reading, writing, and speaking it, may be sometimes a bit my own way still, and know that it can only improve day after day.
  • I took in 2008, the Danish Test "Prøve i Dansk 3", which I passed, whereas I also took the Danish Test Studies "Studieprøven", which I, for the time being, only passed the Oral part. I am currently working on the written part, so to complete the test in June this year. This test allows non-Danish natives, to be admitted to Universities and further studies in Danish, in Denmark.

Italian - good Academic level

  • Second foreign language at school, I must have had 7+ years of Italian.
  • Due to its Latin roots, and closeness to the French tongue, I have a fair understanding and level of communication in Italian. Given time and re-use, I can lift it up, and remove the rust it is nowadays covered with.

Spanish - fair Verbal understanding

  • As for Italian, the roots of the Spanish language (Castillan) being close enough to French, me being in Spain, with native speakers, allow me to understand and, somehow participate, relatively fairly. I took some lessons while in Denmark, some years ago though, and am convinced that mastering it ain't that far an objective, when I will be willing to go for it again.
  • Languages school attended in Barcelona 2013. Level A1 (DELE)
